The Family Rosary is an unofficial Vatican recording featuring Pope John Paul II. This unique double CD recording (over 2 hours) is the ultimate collection celebrating the Pope's dedication to the Rosary. The Rosary was the Pope's favorite and one that he recommended as a powerful prayer for peace and for families.

This recording also includes selected extracts from the Pope's homilies, given during his visits to Malta and Ireland. It featured hymns by the choirs of the Vatican, which include Salve Regina, Benedicta Es Tu, Salve Mater Misericordiae, Virgo Dei Genetrix and others. A Blessing, Prayers and the Litanies, by the Pope, follow each decade of the Rosary. Also for the first time the Pope recites the Angelus in English.

A special addition of the luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, featuring Dana, (who has sung for the Pope on five occasions) and Fr. Kevin Scallon. Celbrating his 25th year as Pontiff, one of Pope John Paul II's first official acts was to sign a new apostolic letter calling the Rosary his favorite prayer and urging us to rediscover its contemplative richness. His letter announced a world wide ''Year of the Rosary'' and the addition, to the centuries old prayer, of five optional ''Mysteries of Light'', that focus on episodes from Christ's public ministry.
